What You’ll Find Here
It is my hope that The Marriage Mix will provide you with multiple tools to regain hope in the power that love, faith, and commitment can have in your marriage. Throughout the week, you will find three different types of posts:
Sunday: Love in Action. I challenge you to look throughout the week for ways that you see love at play in the world around you. For some, you will find love at work in your marriage right away! Others of your might not see love at work in your marriage, but if you are looking for love somewhere, anywhere, you will eventually gain a set of eyes that can recognize the tiniest speck of love - even in your marriage! On Sundays, I will report back here about the love I saw in action throughout the week and you are invited and encouraged to do the same! In the comments section, leave us with a story about where you saw love at work or the link to your blog, where you can write your love story for the week (and be sure to link your readers back over here to The Marriage Mix so they can enjoy everyone’s stories!).
Monday: Hearing how different people make marriage work for them can be really encouraging. So I have one couple featured here every Monday each month. They all answer the same set of questions so that the readers can see how different couples approach the same thing. Like everything else on The Marriage Mix, this is meant to encourage and make everyone feel “more normal”.
Wednesday: Whether you have a healthy marriage or you are thinking about leaving your marriage, everyone needs to know that they are not alone when they run into problems. On Wednesdays you will find stories written by myself and many wise (and funny) guest bloggers who will share our stories about the ups and downs of our own relationships. We are all about being honest, keeping it real, and hopefully creating a “new normal” - based in reality and not fairytale expectations - of what marriage really is.
Friday: Exploring and learning are major ways we can find hope and encouragment for our marraiges. On Fridays come by as I take a deeper look at a poem, a Scripture from the Bible, a pice of art, or a paragraph from a book about love or marriage. Be sure to share your opinions in the comments section or on your blog (and link us on over!).
