I hear you on so many levels with this post. I also DO like that you posted your real, raw, just-the-way-it-is thoughts, because I find I do the same thing too many times. I shut down and close myself off as soon as things get a little too nitty gritty in my life. =) But that’s when people can relate and come alongside or get a better feel for who/what you’re about! It’s also the time I find myself growing- as though God is ‘pruning’ in those rough times.
Following God’s will and your heart’s desires is hard work. I’m glad you’re not throwing in the towel. Not yet. Thanks for sharing. It’s so good for us to hear!

So true- nothing in this world can satisfy the inner longings in our soul other than the One who made us. I’m so glad that God gives us everything we need as we draw near to Him and seek Him in everything. The hardest part of seeking God is not letting the {especially GOOD things!} of this world get in our way. God is love and nothing is better than having that assurance.

The one movie that I cannot get enough of is “The Notebook”. It’s such a beautiful story of how young people can fall in love and stay in love throughout the ages. The thing I love most is that it doesn’t assume that love is easy; it actually promotes the fact that love ISN’T easy, and that happy endings are what you make of them. It conveys the fact that love is about sacrifice, life changing decisions, and the committment to work hard at making it last. It makes me cry every time!
